* Minimum of $350 per day for 1 to 50 miles and less than 3hrs
* Minimum of $475 per day for 51 to 100 miles and less than 6hrs
* Minimum of $600 per day for 101 to 325 miles and less than 12hrs
* Minimum of $50 per hour if more than 12hrs/day
* Minimum of $550 per day for 0 to 100 miles and less than 6hrs
* Minimum of $720 per day for 101 to 325 miles and less than 12hrs
* Minimum of $60 per hour if more than 12hrs/day
This fee is to compensate our driver for evening overnight expenses and is at our driver's discretion how it will be utilized. If a 2.5-star or better motel/hotel room is not available for $120 per night within 15 miles from where the load stops, and our driver chooses to get a room for the night, this fee will be the actual amount paid (including fees & taxes) for the lowest priced 2.5-star or better motel/hotel room available in that area (copy of listings and receipt will be provided).
Tolls are included. If the total cost of tolls is more than 3% of billable miles, tolls will be billed at the actual cost.

Yes, our drivers are either certified via Florida or Utah, and both states have reciprocal agreements with all other states. Our drivers are also New York certified escorts.

The minimum billing for daily hours will begin at the time our driver is requested to be at the departure location. If the load travels for more than one day, each subsequent day of billing will begin at the hauler's scheduled time of departure for that day; no later than 9:30a.
Loads taking more than one day will be calculated as the greater of either (Total Miles x Mileage Rate) or (Minimum Rates x Number of Days), plus any overnight charges. Unlike many pilot car companies, prone to gouging their customers with a combination of minimum day rates and mileage rates, Razor Pilot Cars will never bill a combination of both (Please see scenarios listed below):
Scenarios:
A. Need chase car for a total of 800 miles; 700 miles the first day and 100 miles (2hrs) the 2nd day: Based on our standard rate, the pilot car services for this scenario would cost: $1600 = (800 miles x $1.85 per mile) + $120 overnight.
B. Need chase car for a total of 800 miles; 100 miles on the first day (4hrs), 600 miles on the 2nd day, and 100 miles (2hrs) on the 3rd day: Over the duration of three days for this many miles, three minimum day rates would be billed. The first days of a multi-day trip will always be considered as full days (12hrs), billed at the full day rate and, depending on the distance and/or amount of time, the last day will be billed based on our minimum miles/hours rates. Using our standard rates, the pilot car services for this scenario would cost $1915 = ($600 x2 full days, $120 overnights x2, and $475 for day three, which is only 100 miles and less than 6hrs).
**** As noted above, many pilot car companies charge their customers a combination of mileage rates and day rates. Using the scenarios above and our standard rates, their billing practices would cost up to $415 more for scenario A or up to $635 more for scenario B.
